The Diesel Technician requires the ability to perform unsupervised
advanced maintenance and repairs and all truck systems. EMPLOYMENT

- Diesel Technicians of all experience levels
- Day, afternoon & evening shifts are available at most
locations
Position Requirements: will vary on the level of experience and be
discussed at the interview
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one
to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company
insurability standards.
Position Preferences:
- Vocational technical school training or equivalent
experience
- Automotive experience
- Medium and/or Heavy Duty truck experience
Essential Duties:
- Function as a service technician who can perform minor repairs
without supervision.
- Perform work as outlined on minor repair orders with efficiency
and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and performs the repair,
as directed by a supervisor.
- Assist other technicians with major repairs.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested
by the customer.
- Examine the assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or
service work is required or recommended.
- Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional
work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs
cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair
order.
- Document all required information for the successful completion
of a warranty claim.
- Possess the ability to work in a team environment.
- Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test
technician
- Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed. All candidate offers
