Title: Sr. Network Administrator - (Subcontract at a Core BTS Client)

Our client is looking for a skilled Sr. Network Engineer to join their team. The Sr. Network Engineer will oversee the configuration and design of the LAN and WAN networks of the company. Maintains both the hardware and software components of both LAN and WAN switches, routers, and other associated equipment. Monitors the network for issues and remediates them with operations staff and vendor support.
Job Description:Responsibilities:

• Design and redesign network infrastructures to meet evolving business needs.
• Manage and maintain datacenter and large network environments.
• Design and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and SD-WAN.
• Configure and manage load balancers, with F5 experience being a plus.
• Implement and manage firewall and VPN solutions, with Checkpoint experience being a plus.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cabling systems, including both copper and fiber.
• Manage storage networking, including zoning, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Oversee WiFi networks, with experience in Meraki deployments.
• Set up and improve network monitoring solutions to proactively address potential issues.
• Understand and integrate systems with network infrastructure.
• Work with virtual infrastructure, including Hyper-V, VMWare, and Microsoft products.
  Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in network design and redesign.
  • Extensive experience in datacenter or large network environments.
  • Proficiency in advanced routing protocols and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with load balancers, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Strong cabling skills, including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of storage networking and performance tuning.
  • Experience with WiFi networks, particularly Meraki.
  • Ability to set up and improve network monitoring systems.
  • Understanding of systems and their relationship to network infrastructure.
  • Experience with virtual infrastructure, including Hyper-V, VMWare, and Microsoft products.
