Job Description:

Accounting Manager A well-established Long Island Elevator Cab fabrication and installation company servicing primarily the New York metropolitan, Long Island, Connecticut, and New Jersey areas seeks an Accounting Manager to perform the company's accounting, provide required financial reporting and analysis, and support the company operations from Business Development through Customer Order Fulfillment. This position reports directly to the Owner/President of the Company and has growth potential. As Accounting Manager, the company will rely on you to: Provide for the transacting and management of all day-to-day accounting activities, including cash management, billing, collections, payables, project cost accounting, (and perform purchasing when required). Conduct oversight management of payroll and employee benefits administration. Develop and document timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements. Provide management with financial plans and analyses including, but not limited to, weekly cash flow forecasts, annual profit plan achievement, monthly financial analyses, project profitability reports, product and services pricing analyses and the like. Ensure that all required federal, state and local tax filings are prepared, filed and paid accurately and in a timely manner. Annual sourcing of the company's insurance needs, and oversight management of insurance compliance within the company's operations. Manage the day to day and monthly banking activities, monitor asset-based borrowings, and provide borrowing base certificates and other reporting as required by the lender. Participate in and provide leadership for quality programs and the support of customer contract management. Qualifications include: --BS degree in accounting or finance, a minimum of five years of primary profit & loss accounting responsibility. Experience with one or more job cost systems as well as QuickBooks software or equivalent. --General accounting, financial management and systems experience in a machine/manual fabrication and installation services business. Strong cash management experience. Familiarity and work experience with Fully Burdened Labor Rate calculation and utilization in product/services pricing and operations performance management. Work expertise in job costing, job cost accounting, and analysis. --Work experience in budget management, planning, financial and operational reporting. --A high level of ability with spread sheets and other analytical tools. --A strong desire to contribute and succeed; as well as a "roll up your sleeves" attitude Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 5 - 10 years Salary: $105,000 - $135,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
