The Social Marketing and Communication (SMC) department within
FHI 360's U.S. Programs is a national leader in applying a
science-based approach to social marketing and communication to
address public health and other challenges in the U.S. SMC
currently implements a diverse portfolio of social marketing,
public relations, communication, and training and technical
assistance projects in the U.S. that are funded by the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health,
private associations, and foundations. In the past decade, our team
has worked on issues such as diabetes, emergency and pandemic
preparedness, obesity prevention, sexual health, HIV, cancer,
asthma, immunizations, violence prevention, access to health care,

viewed at .Job Summary:The Associate Project Director, Partners -
HIV Campaign is a key position that will lead the strategy
development and approach for providing training, technical
assistance and support for CDC grantees and other partners as part
of the CDC's Let's Stop HIV Together (Together) campaign, a
multi-year comprehensive consumer, provider, and partner campaign
in the United States. Together is an evidence-based campaign
developed in English and Spanish that aims to reduce HIV stigma and
promote HIV testing, prevention, and treatment. This position will
lead the partnership component of the campaign, providing technical
assistance, evaluation, and administrative support to CDC grantees,
state and local health departments, community and clinical campaign
ambassadors, and other partners to expand the reach and impact of
the Together campaign. The successful candidate may also work on
other projects within SMC.Key responsibilities include
- Develop and implement the partnership strategy for the Let's
Stop HIV Together campaign, including providing technical
assistance to CDC grantees and other partners (e.g., planning
webinars, developing and disseminating HIV communication materials)
and coordinating support (e.g., planning and facilitating meetings,
managing meeting logistics including travel, monitoring and
tracking achievement, developing training tools and resources,
etc.) for partners.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure that project
goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time
frame and budget and to the client's satisfaction.
- Develop high-quality plans, strategic documents, and
reports.
- Present technical assistance plans and strategies to the
client.
- Establish work plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
to guide project activities and ensure quality of work.
- Provide guidance and training to staff to achieve project
goals.
- Establish and manage vendor relationships for communication
programs and projects.
- Contribute to business development activities related to
partnerships (evaluating opportunities, leading proposals,
recruiting partners, etc.) and contribute to other SMC business
development activities as needed.
- Support performance management and professional development of
direct reports, if applicable
- Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communication and social marketing,
education, gender, health, research, technology, or a related
field.
- Strong knowledge of the key issues in CDC contracts with an
ability to advise senior management on implications of contractor
spending and compliance with scope of work.
- Knowledge of CDC policies and procedures strongly
preferred.
- Experience working in sexual health, HIV or HIV communications
strongly preferred.
- Experience working with or developing materials for transgender
communities and persons who inject or use drugs (PWID/PWUD) a
plus
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to direct work within tight schedules and
under pressure.
- Flexible and receptive to change in the workplace and drive
organizational change.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style of
working to reach common goals and objectives.
- Prior experience mentoring, supervising, and leading other team
members.
- Proven experience in providing training and technical
assistance.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain partner engagement plans and
databases.
- Experience in organizing and managing events, both in-person
and virtual.
- Familiarity with co-branding, adaptation, and localization
processes.
- Knowledge of Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing
Nursing Education (CNE) development and accreditation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with various
stakeholders.Experience: **
- 10+ years of relevant experience providing technical assistance
and developing partnerships.
- Prior supervisory experience required.Typical Physical Demands:

listed below. Candidate FHI 360 pay ranges represent national
averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an
offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including
but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education
possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and
budget.Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360
contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension
plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time,
which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid
vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year.
Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a
full-time schedule.US Based Hiring Salary Range:$100,000 -
$152,000International hiring ranges will differ based on
