Job Overview:Responsible for the quality of nursing care, the
management of personnel and management systems on a specified
nursing unit on a 24-hour basis.Qualifications:Required:
Graduate of National League for
Nursing accredited School of NursingBachelor of Science degree in
NursingNJ RN LicenseAHA BLS Provider CertificationThree years of
nursing experienceEvidence of leadership abilityPhysical stamina
and ability to safely lift and move objects and peoplePediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or eligible. If not
certified at hire, expectation to receive certification within one
year of hire Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- NJ RN License
- AHA BLS Provider CertificationScheduling Requirements:
Full Time40 hours/week Essential

Meets expectations of department
staff positions as required to meet customer expectationsSupports

hospital guidelinesCoordinates the development and implementation
of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of
services to meet customer expectationsMaximizes potential of self
and subordinates by supporting professional growth and conducting
training and orientation sessionsDevelops and maintains cooperative
relationships with colleagues as well as external contactsPromotes
Patient Safety and safe work practicesProvides direction to all
professional nursing personnel and ancillary personnel rendering
patient care on the nursing unitContinual contact with patients,
families, medical staff, nursing and hospital personnelFrequent
contact with volunteers, student affiliates and persons outside the
