At Manhatta, we're seeking an exceptional Event Experience Director to join our team. As an hourly supervisor, you'll be responsible for delivering top-notch hospitality and service in a fast-paced environment. Your primary goal will be to exceed client expectations by embodying our core family values of hospitality, excellence, integrity, and entrepreneurial spirit.Key Responsibilities:

• Support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality by consistently delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive team environment.
• Take ownership of events, including delivery, setup, execution, and breakdown of all catering elements, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Assign staff to various roles, supervise sign-in and out, and manage breaks according to NYS wage and hour laws.
• Lead proper steps of service and communicate them to the team with efficiency and grace, maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
• Ensure constant communication with Event Chefs, other Captains, staff members, management, and the kitchen during service, through proper channels.
• Inform staff members about menus, ingredients, preparation, allergens, and substitutions, as well as educate them about the beverage program.
• Hold the team accountable for high standards of cleanliness and proper appearance throughout event venues.
• Enforce venue guidelines, Department of Health (DOH) standards, and USE health and safety protocols.
• Review event paperwork in advance, communicate concerns or suggestions, and supervise accurate receiving, usage, and return of all beverage, liquor, and equipment via inventory sheets.
• Ensure proper handling, preparation, and chilling of wines, beer, spirits, and cocktails, without over-opening.
• Coach staff members and hold them accountable for both skills and attitude and behavior.
• Complete and submit post-event reports within 24 hours, including appropriate detail, to strengthen the team and improve future events.What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in catered events.
  • On-demand availability.
  • Some supervisory experience required.
  • TIPS Certification (preferred).
  • NYC Food Handler's Certificate (preferred).What We Offer:
