Senior Managing Director, Treaty Reinsurance
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Reinsurance Solutions business. You will have a direct focus on client servicing, reinsurance placement and will participate in our team's new production efforts. Additionally, you will participate in our focused efforts around the development of sales and marketing strategies specific to property and designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities in that class of business both with existing and potential new clients.

What the day will look like


  • Develops comprehensive new business sales and development plans for identified targeted prospects and existing clients.
  • Works closely in collaboration with broking teams across solution lines to focus efforts on the development of new business and building relationships with clients and prospects that align with business targets, with the understanding that volume of prospecting activity is essential.
  • Identifies specific client and prospect needs and develops innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintains, at all times, a thorough understanding and knowledge of all available Aon resources and solutions available and matching those to client business requirements.
  • Achieves high client satisfaction by providing exceptional service.
  • Fosters and promotes a team approach to both internal and external business relationship.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • University degree, plus min of 10 years of related experience.
    • Previous formal or informal experience in managing direct reports.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships at a most senior level.
    • Strong market presence within the broking industry.
    • Excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients.
    • Entrepreneurial attitude with high level of accountability for profitability and client satisfaction.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills; able to multi-task and manage projects and direct reports.
    • Ability to drive team(s) to deliver the highest in client service, quality, and results.
    • Excellent analytical skills with ability to make sound business decisions.
    • Ability to work independently as a self-starter; committed to delivering the highest in client service, quality, and results.
    • Known problem-solver who anticipates issues and suggests creative solutions.
    • Ability to embrace and drive change in support of the business unit's and company's goals.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products with ability to learn and use multiple software and system-based applications.
    • Professional demeanor with positive attitude.

      The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000-$325,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
      Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon's discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance.
