About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department, including supervising and delegating tasks to team members, training new hires, and maintaining high standards of retail execution.Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and Delegate Tasks: Oversee the daily activities of bakery team members, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and support as needed.
• Train and Develop Team Members: Collaborate with the bakery trainer to train team members, utilize learning checklists and training materials, and ensure a high-performance team.
• Maintain Department Standards: Ensure all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs.
• Communicate Effectively: Communicate team concerns to the team leader and associate team leader, and foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork and mutual respect.
• Set and Achieve Standards: Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution, and consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals.Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a bakery or related department.
