Job Description:

Our client is a top Asset Manager looking to hire an Assistant Controller on their BDC platform that is growing. - They're in the midst of launching additional BDCs so are planning to hire at the Assistant Controller level to handle the oversight of their middle-market BDC from end-to-end. -This firm is a leader in the space, and -will give you the opportunity to partner with other functional teams across the firm including the front office/deal team, valuations, investor relations, and work closely with C suite executives. Position Summary:

• Responsible for quarterly & annual Financial Statements for multiple BDCs, inclusive of year-end audit -
• Preparation and review of 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings
• Perform & oversee the quarterly valuation processes for Level III investments
• Perform and provide investment performance analytics & work in tandem with Investor Relations
• Involvement with fundraising and deal closings -
• Calculate fund's capital calls and distributions in coordination with the fund administrator
• Communicate with third party service providers including servicers, administrators, auditors, and tax consultants for financing process including quarterly covenant compliance, capital borrowing and settlements
• Prepare materials for meetings with the Board of Directors -
• Provide coaching and supervision to junior accountants Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred -
  • 5-10 years of experience - within BDC Accounting and/or Auditing BDC or RIC Clients
