a Quality Assurance Director overseeing Audible features and
services in the Android ecosystem. We are embarking on a mission to
delight our customers and reshape how quality engineering is done
across all surfaces and devices within Audible. It's our
responsibility to push Audible into new places; wherever our
customers are listening. Achieving this vision means expanding and
strengthening Continuous Delivery across surfaces as well as
driving a strong quality culture. This role requires a strong
shift-left data-driven mindset and experience enabling teams to

Assurance, you will...- Drive the long-term strategic direction for
your team- Establish structures and mechanisms that provide
software release confidence - Work with other QA teams and to drive
cohesive test strategies to ensure customer, business, and
technology needs are met- Collaborate and engage regularly with
stakeholders, remote teams, and communicate effectively with senior
leaders- Tackle ambiguous problems and proactively mitigate risks
before they become roadblocks - Understand the functionality,
architecture, business drivers, and technologies behind the
products and systems your teams support - Drive the adoption of
best practices and regularly review business, performance, and
operational metrics- Establish mechanisms that audit the customer
experience, quality and, operational performance of the software
tested by your team(s) - Drive your team to improve processes and
resolve the root cause of endemic problems - Actively build talent
and teams by hiring, coaching, and mentoring quality engineers,
proactively developing and promoting top performersABOUT

communities in the cities we call home.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS-
Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science or closely related
field- 7+ years of industry experience in quality assurance or
software development- 4+ years of hands-on software testing and/or
development experience with expertise in Test Automation and
Continuous Delivery- 3+ years of experience managing quality
engineering teams and developing technical direct reports
(performance review communication, accountability,
motivation/engagement)- Experience with Native Application
development tooling (Android and/or iOS SDKs)- Experience in
designing and building test tools and frameworks- Experience
working through others to accomplish the day-to-day work of the
organizationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Results oriented and with a
strong customer focus- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills with the ability to present complex technical information in
a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences- Experience
with test and behavior driven development- Experience growing
engineers and managers to scale with the needs of the organization-
Demonstrated ability to make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment- Experience defining and championing best practices for
the full software development life cycle, including coding
standards, build processes, testing, and operations-
Action-oriented strategic thinker- Demonstrated ability to make
risk aware tradeoffs- Experience testing, debugging and supporting
Audio Playback oriented- Native applications on Android and/or iOS-
Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment where change is the only
