STREETBALTIMORE, MD 21201Main Purpose of JobThis position has total
administrative responsibility for a social services unit
responsible for providing services to vulnerable citizens.POSITION
DUTIES
- Review and analyze operational procedures to interface with
other operations in an effort to increase efficiency of current
procedures, to include the implementation of new procedures as
necessary.
- Oversee the analysis and interpretation of the unit
operations.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding program decisions.
- Provide training, guidance and direction to the unit in order
to ensure adherence to agency, state, and federal requirements and
mandates.
- Oversee the implementation of corrective action plans necessary
as a result of agency, legislative, or federal audit
recommendations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:A bachelor's degree
from an accredited college or university.Experience:Four years of
experience in administrative staff or professional work, two years
of experience overseeing and managing the financial resources of a
program, and an additional two years of supervisory
experience.Notes:
- Additional experience in administrative staff or professional
work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required
education.
- Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or
university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit
hours on a year-to-year basis for the required general
experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service
experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related
to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures,
and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or
functioning as a staff assistant to a higher-ranking commissioned
officer on a year-to-year basis for the required education and
experience.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate
will possess:
- One year of experience with Family Investment Programs.
- One year of experience with OHEP Programs and DHS Data
Management system.
- One year of experience using spreadsheet software such as Excel
or Google Sheets.
- One year of experience developing and implementing
