Job Description:

In this role, you will be an important member of the Research Leadership team. You will oversee our microglia cell research programs, providing strategic input and managing a team of scientists. Currently, we are exploring the use of microglia to replace cells lost due to disease or dysfunction; in the future, we aim to utilize our editing platform to address neuroinflammation. Your objective is to develop advanced cell therapeutics that target neurodegenerative diseases and aim to enhance human health.Responsibilities:

• Drive the strategy and execution of BlueRock's cell therapy pipeline from concept to IND filing.

• Lead scientific direction, hiring, and budgeting for your team.
• Provide strategic input into Neuroscience cell programs.
• Evaluate cell:disease pairings and integrate them into a research plan.
• Mentor direct reports and promote BlueRock's values of urgency, integrity, community, and courage.
• Build and maintain relationships with leaders in the organization.
• Establish efficient processes, standards, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with Development and Technical Operations.Minimum Requirements:
  • PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Stem Cell Biology, or M.D. with 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading a program.
  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical/biotechnology with scientific excellence.
  • Experience with IND-enabling studies and filings.
  • Deep knowledge of developmental neuroscience and pluripotent stem cell biology.
  • Expertise in neurological disease, neuroinflammation, regenerative medicine, assay development, biomarkers, CMC, and regulatory.
  • Strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership experience in a collaborative, high-growth environment.
