Fieldstone at Chester Springs - the area's premier senior living community is seeking resident assistants who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our residents.

As a resident assistant you will be responsible for providing hands-on care, and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment. General day to day responsibilities will include---

  • Overseeing a designated group of residents during the shift; knowing where residents are and physically checking on them throughout the shift.
  • Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary and participation in activities.
  • Responding to security system and resident call bells promptly.
  • Notifying supervisor if a resident has increased care needs.
  • Assisting with continence management and disposing of all continence products properly to ensure sanitation of resident suite and community restrooms.
  • Serving and collecting food trays and assisting as needed, reporting refusal of meals or loss of appetite.
  • Assisting residents during a fire emergency to a secured fire safe area.
  • Completing resident laundry as assigned and needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of residents' rooms and work areas.
  • Practicing good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
  • Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident.
  • Participating/leading and assisting residents with activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
  • Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
  • Greeting and assisting external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members if needed.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by management.The right candidate should have---

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Certificates, licenses, and registrations required:
      • Nurse's Aide certification a plus.
      • Must be 18 years of age.
