State St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking an emergency medicine
(EM) physician. This facility features a 31-bed ED seeing 41,000
patients annually. There are 40 hours of physician coverage, high
level acuity, and a 15% admission rate. Physicians must be board
certified in EM ATLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center is a two-campus health system
with the acute care hospital in Bern Township on Route 183 and the
Downtown Reading campus at 6th and Walnut Streets. Founded in 1873,
the medical center pro-vides a full range of outpatient and
inpatient diagnostic, medical and surgical services to Berks
County's 410,000 residents. The medical center also is widely
recognized for its innovations in cardiology, pulmonary, vascular,
