Description


Position Summary: Provides patient care before and during EPS procedures, cross train to EMTI Admit/Recovery area, device and ablation lab technical positions. - - Responsible for patient education pertinent to EP procedures. - -Administers moderate sedation under the direction of the EP Physician. -Participates in materials management and -research. Assists with the orientation of new staff members.
Experience: - -2 to 3 years -of Critical Care nursing experience or 3 to 5 years of Cardiac experience required. - EPS lab or Cath lab experience preferred.
Education: - -Graduate of accredited diploma, associates degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program required. - BSN preferred.
License and Credentials: - -NJ State RN license, BLS and ACLS Certifications required. CCRN, RCES or RCIS certifications preferred.
Skills: - -Excellent -interpersonal skills. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced complex environment. Computer literacy. Familiarity with MS Office Applications.
Preferred: Moderate Sedation, IABP experience.
