Department Manager for a travel nursing job in Brooklyn, New York.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee
the Emergency Department (ED). This role involves taking 24-hour
responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and
evaluation of patient care within the department. The Nurse Manager
will supervise daily operations, foster a collaborative
environment, and ensure a high standard of care and operational
performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Performance: Develop staffing schedules, monitor
performance metrics, manage the department's budget, and oversee
training and development of ED staff.
Clinical Practice/Patient Care: Collaborate with senior leadership
to ensure nursing care standards are met, maintain a safe and
caring environment, and support staff compliance with clinical
protocols.
Management: Coordinate with staff on departmental goals, manage
patient volume, and monitor customer satisfaction.
Human Resources: Educate, evaluate, and support staff development
while managing performance issues and fostering a respectful work
environment.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a
management or supervisory role in an Emergency Department.
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing (Required).
Licensure & Certifications:
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in
New York State.
BLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications (Required).
TNCC certification (Preferred).
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, handle complex situations, and
prioritize effectively.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Educator with a
behavioral health background to join our team. The Nurse Educator
will play a key role in leading nursing practice, promoting
Relationship Centered Care, and enhancing the patient experience
through education, feedback, and support. This position requires
flexibility, strong leadership, and a commitment to improving
clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model and the
Care Delivery Model to promote the patient experience.
Role model and ensure the integration of Purposeful Hourly Rounding
(PHR) into clinical activities.
Validate staff competency in PHR and provide meaningful feedback,
with focused guidance as necessary.
Communicate patient experience data to staff and interdisciplinary
teams to improve care.
Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers,
and physicians to address patient concerns and service
recovery.
Maintain a compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered approach
in all interactions.
Follow up on patient concerns in a timely manner, providing service
recovery as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Education: BSN required; MSN preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Educator,
with a strong behavioral health background/knowledge.
Certifications:
Active CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or PMCS (Prevention and
Management of Crisis Situations) certification required prior to
offer.
Professional Board certification in clinical specialty or staff
development (Preferred).
Skills:
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and provide effective
education and feedback.
Physical and mental ability to manage acutely ill patients and
perform clinical procedures relevant to the practice area.
