*Shift Timing: *8:00 AM - 4:30 PM *(5 days/week)*
*Guaranteed Hours:* 37.5/week

*Pay Median: $74.6/hr or $2800/wk - $86.6/hr or $3250/wk*

*Job Summary*

As a Nurse Educator at our hospital, you will play a vital role in training and educating nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care are maintained. Your expertise will be crucial in developing educational programs and materials to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing team.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Design and conduct comprehensive orientation programs for incoming nurse interns.
* Facilitate onboarding processes and introduce interns to hospital protocols, workflows, and systems.
* Provide continuous guidance and resources to support a smooth transition into clinical roles.

*Scheduling:*
* Coordinate and manage daily schedules for nurse interns.
* Align intern assignments with educational objectives and clinical needs.
* Adjust schedules proactively to ensure appropriate coverage and learning opportunities.

*Mentorship & Support:*
* Serve as a mentor and resource for nurse interns throughout their training.
* Address challenges and promote a supportive, positive learning environment.
* Encourage professional development and critical thinking.

*Collaboration:*
* Work closely with clinical teams, preceptors, and nursing leadership to ensure a cohesive education program.
* Participate in committees and initiatives related to nursing education and quality improvement.

*Qualifications:*
* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
* Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required
* Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience
* Prior experience in nursing education or staff development strongly preferred
* AHA - BLS certification required
* Proficiency with electronic charting systems (experience with Allscripts is a plus)
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
