Job Description:

--clair Bakery in the heart of the Midtown East seeks a Pastry Cook to complete its pastry team.
The Pastry Cook assists the Kitchen Manager and Owner in handling daily viennoiserie and pastry production, creating high-quality classic French pastries.
Qualifications:

Experience making pastries, cakes, and baked goods
Passion for pastry arts
Interest in learning technical skills
Communication skills in predominant production language
3+ years of experience as a pastry cook in a similar environment
Detailed oriented and motivated in a fast-paced setting
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours
Ability to lift up to 20lb
Valid food handler's license or ability to obtain one ASAPResponsibilities:
- Assist in pastry production, including scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing
- Perform each duty according to Executive Pastry Chef standards within company policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
