Job Summary: Learns to assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and interacts with customers and coworkers in a courteous and efficient manner.

Learns to read menu, order food, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
Assists in cooking food, adjusting thermostat controls, and testing food for quality.
Cuts, shreds, and butchers fruits and vegetables, and bakes bread and pastry.
Maintains work area and equipment, following principles of sanitation and safety.
