Job Description:

The Philadelphia Club, a prestigious private members' club, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join its management team as a Food and Beverage Manager. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained, and contributing to the overall success of the club.Key Responsibilities:

• To establish and maintain high standards of service in all food and beverage areas, including the dining room, bar, private dining, and events.
• To plan and execute events and private dining parties, including handling inquiries and offering show rounds.
• To provide exceptional hosting and customer service to members and their guests.
• To champion the training and development of the team, including drafting standard operating procedures for key tasks.
• To work with the General Manager and Food and Beverage Committee to manage the club's wine list and cellar.
• To ensure the club achieves agreed-upon beverage gross profit each month.Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Food and Beverage Manager in a 4-star deluxe or 5-star environment.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience supervising/managing staff.
  • Strong knowledge of classical 5-star restaurant service.
  • Broad knowledge of American and European food, wine, and cocktails.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including food allergens, and ServeSafe Certificate.
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale use in bars and restaurants, including programming.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Physical requirements include lifting heavy objects, reaching, stooping, bending, and standing for prolonged periods.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Diploma or degree in food and beverage or a related field.
