Pastry Cook Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Pastry Cook to join our
exceptional Dinner Service team of service leaders. This position
will work with the Pastry Chef in production and service and be
exposed to variety of cooking techniques and excellent ingredients.
The position oversees assigned areas of pastry production and works
service during the night time service. Key responsibilities include
executing recipes, maintaining kitchen equipment, and always being
on time. The Pastry Cook will use working knowledge of basic pastry
techniques and assist in the production of a dynamic pastry program
for the restaurants and bakery including seasonal specials. The
role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills,
ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English,
and a flexible schedule. We seek individuals who pursue this career
as a passion and a profession. Key qualifications include minimum
1-3 years' experience in professional cooking, high school diploma
or equivalent, and currently authorized to work in the US.
Candidates must live in New York or planning to live in the near
future.
