Gelateria Gentile - Upper West Side Store ManagerCompany OverviewGelateria Gentile is expanding its operations in the New York area, and we're seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead our gelato shop in the Upper West Side.Job SummaryThe Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of the gelato shop, supporting our team and ensuring that every guest experiences the warmth of Italian hospitality. This role requires a positive, steady presence, engaging with guests, team members, and vendors to uphold Gelateria Gentile's high standards.Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead daily operations with a positive and steady presence
  • Train, motivate, mentor, and organize team members to create a cohesive and enthusiastic team
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Monitor inventory, process orders, and request supplies as necessary to maintain smooth service
    • Manage transactions with accuracy, ensuring financial accountability
    • Quality and Safety
      • Uphold quality, health, safety, and sanitation standards consistently
      • Document, investigate, and resolve guest issues with professionalism
      • Additional Duties
        • Assist with additional duties as needed to support the team and storeQualifications
          • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred
          • 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role in food service
          • Proficiency in math and handling money accurately
          • Solid understanding of customer service and hospitality practices
          • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
          • NYC Food Handler Card
          • Knowledge of coffee preparation and Italian cuisine is a plusRequirements
            • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
            • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
            • Proficiency with espresso machines, blenders, oven, and cash registersWhat We Offer
