Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market - Williamsburg. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. You will also lead and develop Team Members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop Team Members, fostering a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Operations and Administration: Assist the Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor, and work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Product Knowledge and Merchandising: Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising, demonstrating advanced product knowledge and staying up-to-date on new products.
• Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers, and responding promptly to customer needs and questions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations, including Food Safety and regulatory duties required in the department.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others for growth.
