Job Description:

Assists Team Leader in daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance. Leads and develops Team Members, ensuring a positive company image, and performing duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.Key responsibilities include:

  • Store Layout and Merchandising: Develops creative store layout and product merchandising.
  • Sales and Labor Targets: Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
  • Analysis and Projections: Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor, and annual sales and expense projections.
  • Inventory Management: Assists team leader with ordering and inventory management.
  • Team Support: Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
  • Point Person: Functions as point person and departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader.
  • Retail Execution: Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
  • Team Environment: Fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
  • Customer Service: Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
  • Team Member Development: Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
  • Performance Evaluations: Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.Required skills and qualifications:

      • Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
      • Standing/Walking: Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      • Hand Use: Single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
      • Motions: Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
      • Exposure: Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
