About this jobWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Gourmet Dining - Long Island University. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for assisting with the overall success of our food program and overseeing culinary functions.Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation and Planning: Assist in coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of various food items, adhering to client expectations, Health Department regulations, and company standards.
• Menu Creation and Execution: Assist with planning and creating menus, ensuring quality, freshness, and presentation standards are met.
• Cost Controls and Inventory Management: Assist with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure, ensuring efficient use of resources.Requirements

• 5 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year at the management level.
• Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
