Corbion is seeking a highly organized, growth oriented Procurement Buyer based at our facility in Totowa, NJ. In this role, you will set up suppliers, purchase goods, materials and services to ensure Corbion's operational needs are met, taking into account total cost, quality and delivery. You will be accountable for continuity of supply, cost savings, and delivering against individual, department and company targets while proactively updating management on issues and opportunities. Key Responsibilities:Purchase goods, materials, components or services for Corbion production facilities in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.Prepare and issue purchase orders and order schedules and expedite deliveryResolves discrepancies and issues in invoices and purchase ordersSupport the purchasing function and communicate supply concerns which may impact business operationsAct as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projectsAnalyze new and existing costs and review cost reduction activitiesPrepare and communicate reports and updatesPartner with peers to review opportunities for continuous improvementManage supplier rapport including researching new vendors, contract negotiation, communication, confirmations, expediting, problem resolution and evaluationEnsure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and best practice proceduresQualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing roleFamiliarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemAbility to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with peers, stakeholders and suppliersDetail oriented with strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skillsAnalytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilitiesCommercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the production, manufacture and customer order fulfilmentAbout Corbion Corbion is the global market leader in lactic acid and its derivatives, and a leading supplier of emulsifiers, functional enzyme blends, minerals, vitamins, and algae ingredients.
