Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. You will also lead and develop Team Members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.Key Responsibilities

• Store Operations: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising, working with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Team Management: Assist the Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor, demonstrating advanced product knowledge and developing/maintaining awareness of new products.
• Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Customer Service: Foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale, consistently communicating and modeling WFM vision and goals.
• Leadership: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.Requirements
  • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy.
  • Growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.Working Conditions
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
    • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
