A leading maritime company is seeking a Marine Crewing Specialist to join their team in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager, this role is responsible for recruiting, staffing, and managing crew operations for the company's fleet. The ideal candidate will have experience in marine recruitment, vessel staffing, and working with maritime unions.

*Marine Crewing Specialist Responsibilities*


* Identify hiring needs, manage talent acquisition, and oversee the onboarding process for seagoing officers and crew.

* Coordinate and track required training and certifications for vessel crew members.

* Represent the company at career fairs and industry events to attract top maritime talent.

* Administer Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and coordinate crew dispatching with maritime unions.

* Ensure vessels are staffed with qualified, physically fit mariners holding valid credentials.

* Arrange crew travel and assist with emergency travel requests as needed.

* Build strong relationships with marine personnel, regularly visiting vessels and engaging with union representatives.

* Participate in union grievance processes, unemployment hearings, and ensure compliance with vessel staffing regulations.

* Utilize company software, Microsoft Excel, and databases to manage workforce logistics effectively.


*Marine Crewing Specialist Position Requirements*


* Experience in marine recruiting, vessel staffing, and maritime operations.

* Prior experience working with maritime unions and contract administration is preferred.

* Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* College degree preferred.
