The Position This position primarily provides face-to-face and remote tutorial assistance to students in specific advanced subject areas. This position works in collaboration with other Tutoring Resources staff, and ensures that the appropriate level of service is provided to students.Classification: Casual/As-NeededCasual Duration: As Needed What You Will Do 1. Tutors students face-to-face or remotely in the one or more advance subject areas.2. Guides and supports student use of campus resources, technology, and appropriate study habits.3. Attends online meetings with Tutoring Resources staff to ensure the appropriate level of services are offered.4. Maintains and updates related tutoring session logs.5. Attends remote training sessions provided by the College.6. Stays abreast of teaching methods, content materials, and appropriate technologies.7. Completes projects or duties as assigned. The Successful Candidate Must Have 1. Master's Degree with specific expertise in a field related to the subject identified in the title.2. At least one year of teaching experience at the college level in the specific course(s) listed that also involved the delivery of online/remote instruction.3. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Canvas, WebEx, and Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel).4. Willingness to meet remote and on campus tutoring schedules as agreed upon. Even Better If You Have 1. Prior experience using student database systems such as Colleague2. Demonstrated experience working with underserved populations3. TEFL or TESOL Certification4. Bilingual or Multilingual Required
