Apply today!About the roleEligible for a sign on bonus!Under the direct supervision of the Process Plant Shift Supervisor and general supervision of the Process Plant Operations Superintendent and the Facility Operations & Maintenance Manager, the Loader Operator is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of various heavy equipment in maintaining a steady flow of municipal solid waste (MSW) from the tipping floor to the process line.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:--- Operates equipment in movement of MSW on tipping floor and loading MSW onto the RDF process lines, maintaining a steady flow of MSW to the process operation.--- Performs daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures.--- Performs troubleshooting on equipment and reports all malfunctioning equipment through the issuance of work orders.--- Performs checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check list, etc.--- Maintains proper fuel, lubricant and oil levels for operation of assigned equipment.--- Performs lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities.--- Maintains cleanliness of equipment and an orderly work area.--- Operates the OBW process system as directed.--- Performs additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor, or his or her designeeEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:--- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.--- Preferred experience in operating of heavy equipment--- Must be able to pass respirator fit testing on a daily basisPhysical Demand of the Role:--- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb--- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs--- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces--- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator--- Consistently work in various weather conditionsOur DEI CommitmentReworld is an Equal Opportunity Employer, has developed an Affirmative Action Program (AAP), and will not discriminate against any qualified applicants because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability (including perceived disability, physical, mental, and/or intellectual disabilities), veteran status, liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States, or any other characteristic protected by law.
